Our Story
From one student's mission to a global academy
Founded by Amir Akhtar, a medical student at the University of Messina, the academy was built on first-hand experience of the challenges students face with admissions, IMAT preparation, visas and scholarships.
What began as one student's mission has grown into a trusted academy that has supported hundreds of students from across the globe. With a growing network of mentors, workshops and tailored programs, Future Meds Academy is now recognised as a reliable partner for medical aspirants worldwide.
Our goal is to make medical education in Italy accessible, transparent and stress-free — backed by the knowledge of those who have successfully walked the same path.

The System We Built
More than a course — a complete support system
Future Meds Academy isn't a stack of recorded videos. It's a structured school built around four connected pillars that carry a student from their first question to their first day in an Italian medical lecture hall.
Academic system
Live classes, a structured 3-month roadmap, bi-weekly exams and 12+ full simulations — taught as a real classroom with classmates and homework.
Mentorship system
Every student is paired with mentors who are themselves studying medicine in Italy — for academics, motivation and the questions a textbook can't answer.
Coordination system
Regional coordinators guide students by country and time zone — managing admissions, documents and communication so nothing is lost in translation.
Admissions system
Universitaly registration, pre-enrolment, scholarships and the student visa — handled step by step by a dedicated team, not left to the student alone.

Meet Meriam — your guide across borders
Meriam Friaa is Future Meds Academy's International Course Coordinator, leading our student journey across Tunisia, Canada, China and Georgia. She's often the first person a new student speaks to — and the one who makes sure their path stays clear all the way to Italy.
With a genuinely global outlook, Meriam bridges languages, time zones and education systems so that every international student feels understood, supported and never alone in the process.
